HON. AUWALU ALIYU OHINDASE, B.Sc., FCNA, FCCAA graduate of Accounting from the University of Lagos, Auwalu Aliyu Ohindase was born on 27th September, 1951 in Okene, Kogi State. He started his working career as Accountant II with the Federal Airports Authority (FAAN) in 1980 and rose to become Assistant General Manager (Finance) in 1998, and Deputy General Manager in 2002. He attended many management courses and belongs to many professional bodies. He is a fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and also Institute of Company and Commercial Accountants of Nigeria. As a social activist, he has several publications on labour-related matters. He was President-General of Trade Union Congress (TUC) for eight consecutive years and a Past President of the Rotary Club of Nigeria, Matori, District 9110 Lagos. He represents the North-Central Zone in the Commission consisting of Kogi, Kwara, Plateau, Benue, Niger and, Nasarawa States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
