With more than three decades of exemplary service, Dr. Lucky Uankhehi Ikharo embodies strategic leadership, dedication and a commitment to Nigeria’s progress. As Secretary to the National Assembly Service Commission, Dr. Lucky Ikharo serves as the Accounting Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing the Commission’s operations with precision and vision. His leadership ensures the Commission functions as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s legislative framework. His meticulous approach and results-driven mindset have strengthened the Commission’s efficiency, making it a vital force in supporting our democracy. Dr. Ikharo’s journey is marked by intellectual and professional excellence. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a PhD in Leadership & Strategic Studies from Federal University, Lokoja, equipping him with the acumen to manage both human and material resources with accountability. He has a rich background of serving in various departments and positions within the NASC—including Director roles in the Departments of Procurement & General Service, and Promotions, Discipline & Appeals. As a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD), he demonstrates a passion for capacity building, fostering growth within his team and beyond. His strategic thinking sets him apart, as he navigates complex challenges with innovative solutions, always with an eye on the future. Beyond his professional accolades, Dr. Ikharo is a man of balance and integrity. Happily married with children, he harmonizes the demands of a challenging career with the warmth of family life.
